This silk ribbon scarf is a special collaboration with Kate Mefford of Sunday Supper, and is an homage to her collection of civil war era brass heart buckles. These authentic brass pieces were worn by United States Calvary on both sides of the war and thereafter. They served to symbolize the dedicated heart of the soldier, but also served to protect the harness system from anything that might dismantle it. Each heart has its own patina, scratches, and dings, much like our own. 

Beautifully painted in watercolor, the design of our silk ribbon scarves symbolizes a love of living out our own stories and allowing each battle to uniquely shape us, just like these special antiques.

Made of 100% silk twill, measures approximately 4x47”.
